Ministries and outreach of NICM

Media Ministry - GNPI India
GNPI-studio Chandigarh, in partnership with GNPI USA, produces and provides audio cassettes/CD's and Videos to the most remote and tribal areas and villages of North India. Right now we are working on audio CD's only but in due course we will start the video production too. Media ministry is a very valuable tool to take the Gospel to the people in their own language, where evangelists are trying to start new churches. 70% of those taking advantage of this program are illiterate.

Christian School
Education has been an inseparable element of missionary activity around the world. Education helps people to read and write which in turn enables them to read the Bible. And this method has been used as the primary channel of spreading the Gospel over the years. It also helps one to be deep rooted in the Word of God. North India Christian Mission Started Christian School, with just Eleven children’s and one teacher in 1997,in 2004 the school was recognised by the state government and began as a full day boarding school, today it has approximately 400 children and employs 55 teachers and ground staff-in the main School in Barwala.

The children come from a diverse religious and cultural background including Hinduism, Jainism, Islam, Sikhism etc. Only 0.01% comes from Christian background. Besides the regular academic teaching they all are taught about that one God who is the maker of the Universe and who sent His Son Lord Jesus Christ to save them and us. c School is recognized by the Government of Haryana State and follows the State Syllabus. Children can start from Kindergarten and study up to High School. It is ever growing and requires more space and buildings to accommodate the growing number of children. Anthony Children's Ministry
NICM's children's ministry has grown by leaps and bounds. Our VBS attendance was around 600 kids this past summer, Sunday school attendances is around 65 kids per church every Sunday. In November 2005 NICM took a new step in their ministry by starting a children's home to reach out to abandoned and needy children. It is NICM's vision to see the coming generation throughout North India raised up and discipled for God's work. NICM is reaching destitute and broken families that are not capable to care for the needs of their children.Male babies are sometimes preferred over female babies. As a result, some girls are abandoned by their parents. NICM has a vision to see children raised in a family environment where they can not only have their physical needs met but where they can continually grow in their relationship with the Lord.

Church Planting / Support a Church Minister - Evangelist
NICM is responsible for planting New Testament churches in India.When you Support a church planting Pastor or a Evanglist , you are personally involved in world Evangelisation, that's becuase all church plantors are committed to reaching unreached people of Punjab,Haryana and other part of North India - where there are no church or Chritian's presence.You can Support a Church planter and the entire support will go towards accommodation , food , and other general living expense.

Evangelism
Is the top priority of NICM. The mission is blessed with wonderful and very dedicated evangelists. They are on fire to win the lost souls producing many cell groups and churches all over Punjab , Haryana and its neighboring states of north India.

Leadership Training
We have sent some students to study full-time at Bethlehem Bible College in MP, (Damoh), R D. Lal of MICS is one of our very key partners in Central India . We need sponsorship for more students to be trained. The need is great to spread the gospel in the Punjab but without trained evangelists this work will not get done.

Literature
There is a great need for Christian literature in the Punjabi language. NICM provides Punjabi/Hindi Bibles, New Testaments, Gospel Tracts, sermon outlines for preachers, and Sunday school teaching materials

Medical Ministry - FAME
With the partnership of FAME, NICM has established a Dental /General Hospital. NICM has hosted Medical Outreaches. During our first in 2002 outreach, they set up fifteen different camps in villages throughout Haryana and Punjab. Within two week more than 3000 people were examined. Each patient was given nutritional supplements; vitamins, antibiotics or other medicines as needed. Not only did the doctor examine the people but each person also had the opportunity to hear the Gospel message and received prayer today NICM has small clinics and mobile clinics serving people all over north india.

Vehicles
NICM Pastors and Evangelists have to travel great distances over rough roads in order to reach villages and far areas which are inaccessible by public or private transport .By providing motorcycles , Scooters or pedal cycles to Christian workers, NICM is helping them reach out to these areas.

Sewing Centers - Helping Hands Project
NICM started their first sewing center in 2003 with Penny Johnson of "Helping Hand's" ministry. In North India 67% of the women and girls are illiterate, domestic violence is very much prevalent in there families and lack a little or no access to fianacial assistance.

Helping Helping Hands Project is making a difference amongst the women of North India - through these sewing Projects which are running as teacher tailoring centers along side our local churches , So that these women can have dignity,status and face value in the community and knowing that they can earn and provide for themselves and there little children's.

And the most important and the greates gift these womens receives is the good news of Lord Jesus Christ. Before each tailoring session starts there is a short devotion time and for most of the women it is first time that they hear of God who loves and cares for them unconditionally.And to this day many women gave their lives to the Lord and are attending the local church. This has proven to be a valuable tool and way to reach out to women in villages.Today we have more than 25 Sewing centers all over North India
